What are backup keys?

Backup keys are a backup method for two-step login. If you lose access to the device you use to confirm logins (for example, you lose or change your phone), you can use them instead.

Where do I get them?

You download your keys when you turn on two-step login.
You can also create new backup keys at any time:

1. Log in to your account.
2. Click Security.
3. On the Two-step login tab, in the Backup keys section, click Download new keys.

Important: When you download new keys, your previous keys will stop working.

What do they look like?

Backup keys are 9-character codes. Each new list contains 24 codes.

How do I use them?

1. Log in to your account.
2. On the two-step login confirmation screen, click Another login method.
3. Click Log in with a backup key.
4. Enter the key we ask for. We will show you its number.
5. Click Next.
6. Done.

What if I use them all?

You can use each backup key only once.
Create new ones before you use the last one.

What if I lose them?

If you lose only your backup keys and can still confirm two-step login, log in to your account and download new ones.
If you lose your backup keys and also lose access to the device you use to confirm two-step login, contact us at kontakt@pomoc.wp.pl. We will verify your details and turn off two-step login. You can then turn it on again on your new phone.
